Notes

Maximum cut depth is 1.0” — double D03/D04’s 0.5”, matching U05’s reach. The package reads 1” length of cut; the earlier listing this note was drafted from said 3/4”, which was wrong.

Always ramp — never plunge, same rule as every downcut here. Straight-through 1/8” shank doesn’t change the chip-packing physics.

Straight shank, not reduced. Unlike D03/D04, there’s no step up to a fatter shank above the flutes — this one is 1/8” from collet to tip, so it’s the least rigid of the 1/8” downcuts over its exposed length even though the cutting geometry is identical. With a full 1” of that length unsupported below the collet, that flex matters more here than on the shorter 1/8” bits — light passes, don’t push stepdown past what’s in the table above.
