Notes

Unidentified, unlike everything else in the T series. No stamped brand or part number to look up, no McMaster page to confirm coating or steel grade against — the size and lengths here are read straight off the bit itself, not a vendor spec sheet. If a manufacturer mark turns up later, update this note.

Brad point, so it’s the wood specialist of the 3/16” bits. The center spur locates the hole and the two outer spurs score the fiber ahead of the flutes, so the entry stays clean instead of tearing out — T02 and T04 are both twist geometry, built for metal first and wood as an afterthought. Reach for this one whenever the hole itself needs to look good, not just exist.

Deepest reach in the drawer, too. 2” of drilling depth clears every other 3/16” bit here (T02 at 0.75”, T04 at 0.84”) by a wide margin — dowel joinery in thick stock especially.
