Fridge Frames

Fridge Frames

The fridge is the most-looked-at surface in most houses. It’s also where photos, kids drawings, and reminders end up, usually under a magnet from a pizza place. Fridge Frames give that stuff an actual frame.

Each one is laser-cut from fluorescent acrylic as an open rectangle, with magnets set into the corners. Slide a photo underneath, or let the frame sit over a note, and the magnets do the rest.

Making it

Cutting them out of fluorescent acrylic makes the frames glow at the edges and cast a little color onto the paper behind them. The openings are sized around common photo dimensions. They can act as a set — stack sizes, mix colors, cluster a few around the fridge door. It turns the fridge from a place things get stuck into a gallery of things shown.
